While Main Events (owned by the Duvas) is often the name most associated with the legendary Totowa Ice World in New Jersey, World Wide Promotions, was a key promotional force during that same golden era of 1980s boxing. Owned and operated by Bill Anton, World Wide Promotions was instrumental in transforming the ice rink—a chilly, 3,000-seat venue—into one of the most respected "proving grounds" in professional boxing. Because of the intimate setting and the quality of the cards Bill put together, it became a staple for early ESPN broadcasts, which were just beginning to bring weekly boxing into American homes. World Wide Promotions operated at a time when North Jersey was the "Capital of Boxing." While the big casinos in Atlantic City took the mega-fights, Bill Anton’s operation in Totowa was where the "real" boxing fans went. It was known for its gritty atmosphere—literally an ice rink with plywood over the ice and a ring on top—which created a unique, high-energy environment that fighters and commentators loved. Douglas ran the fight cards and athletes.  Conception Sports & Entertainment, this is an incredible "full-circle" legacy story.  It shows that sports promotion isn't just a business you enter - it’s in the DNA.
